Yes I wash my hands before and after handling them and they wear quarantined them by all of the hatches wear kept in the brooder (it’s big) for 2 months and then I put them with my flockBio security has more to do with disease than clean pens (which yes do correlate to an extent but you will see what I mean). It usually means that new birds are quarantined for at least a month with 0 interactions between your flock and new birds. That is the biggest part of bio security. New clothes, new shoes, washed hands, etc. in between the new birds and the existing flock. A lot of people will take care of the new birds after the current ones to minimize how much you have to do between everything.
