Am I stressing my new chicks?

I have 2 Brahma chicks that are less than a week old. I also have twelve 3-4 week old chicks. I have the brahmas in a separate brooder but for the last 3 days I have put them in for a couple supervised hours with the older chicks so they can get to know each other. They start off all sleeping together and then the little chicks end up huddled in a far corner so I put them back in their brooder. Is all this back and forth stressing them out?
