people trampling, pepper spraying, pushing, shoving, cursing other people to grab the cheapest gift available,(made in china) to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. HE DERSERVES BETTER. we need to turn this country back to the morals that our founding fathers intended.i am disgusted by the actions of the occupy crowd, too. PEOPLE IN THE 'LAST DAYS' WILL BE : lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, disobediant to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, false accusers, fierce, traitors, having a form of godliness but denying the power of it. this is what you are witnessing.

A HEM I AM NOT DISOBEDIANT TO MY PARENTS !!!!! perhaps you should change that around and say that SOME parents should be obediant to there kids. I have not seen my dad in a year becuase all horrible things he did HE tried to kill me and my brother Would you mind deleteing what you wrote about Disobediant . Thank you I was not trying to be to rude Sorry .

there are bad parents too, but parents dont ever have to obey their children. children should honor their parents that their days will be long on this earth.

We had a lovely day at home. I did a lot of baking and cooking for Thanksgiving. It was physically hard on me. Very delicious, though! It was so nice to relax and sit around with my feet up, drinking coffee and chatting with my husband.

We had some routine shopping to do, but waited until mid-day Saturday. We figured the greatest mass of shoppers would be burned out and exhausted at home by then.

We did not participate in "Black Friday" trying to get deals. We did go to P. Graham Dunn in Dalton Ohio for a free all you could eat sausage and pancake breakfast where the pancake griddle guy was flipping pancakes out to the crowd and you had to catch your breakfast. I think just as many pancakes hit the floor as they made onto the plates. It was good entertainment and fun! If you have never heard of P. Graham Dunn, you should google it - amazing company! You will surely find something there you can't live without! Then we went to the mall and I used a gift card from 2 years ago at Caribou Coffee and got 2 pounds of coffee.

Being an Aussie I didn't know what Black Friday was until I witnessed the mayhem on our evening news! Yep, that's right... the outrageous behavious of some made international headlines... pretty sad really.

Shopping at big stores is scary enough without a bunch of rabid shoppers willing to trample me for a good deal on a tv! I refuse to leave the house that day. I'm kind of a hypocrite, though, because I adore Cyber Monday.

I'm not sure that religion really belongs in a discussion of Black Friday.

We are a hugely consumerist society. I personally have never seen a deal so good that I would abandon all civility and decency to get it before someone else. I think the bad behavior on the part of Black Friday shoppers is driven by the blatant consumer idea of a "must have" gift, a lack of manners by the participants, the poor economy, and the retailers deliberate rationing of "must have" or "special offer" items.

The retailers certainly foment this frenzy, with advertising, offers only good for one or two hours, deliberate low inventory of deeply discounted items, and extreme shopping hours. The stores have little respect for their employees or shoppers. They want people in the door, for impulse buys when the deal item is gone, or when customers are waiting for the next hour's deal.
