Thanks Elllie_May12, that's pretty funny about them "in line" to lay. I looked further on this coop design and saw lots of ideas- I can get those large buckets at work( we get pickles in them) and cut the top as shown. At least now I know I don't need but 4, and as you say they probably won't use them all. I also have a couple of old dog igloo houses even- but may use those for the geese.
Mac in Abilene,thanks for the link to Stromberg's- I really like how "pretty" the purple 4 hole nest boxes were- neat and easier to clean- didn't know 'til you pointed out you have to by the pads etc. -gets pricey- and with my luck they might not go in- my barn is old. So, will be interesting in a couple months to see when and if they start to lay- it's not even cold here yet.
