How can chickens lay eggs when it is 10 below ZERO outside? I am amazed and in awe of my feathered friends. They both have laid everyday for the last week even in the icky subzero temps..

A few of mine have kept it going as well. We didn't go one day without a few eggs at least.

My girls are still laying every day, some days all 6 hens lay. Our nights have been down to 0 and some days it doesn't reach 32 degrees for the high. My coop is not insulated and they do not have extra light.
