Maybe, they are supposably related right? He had buffs also that is why he traded for the rooster, he wants to breed them but they were small too. I had wanted to buy a few from him but we need a second coop first(isn't that how it starts) maybe they aren't orpingtons also. Does anyone know where the best place to buy young hens not chicks?

My EEs have slate legs so they don't always have to have green legs. Mine don't match the color standards so they are EEs. I hope I am right on this. Yours are pretty birds. Your black girl looks like our Australorps. Not an expert though so you should defer to them. lol

Yes i would say a Black Australorp's to. there on of my favorites, they are good egg layers and can handle the cold.

and what else can you tell the difference with them.
