This is my Americauna, just wondering what color will she be as an adult?

I had 1 like that! it will be heavily barred all over her body, exept her head, which could be a creamy oarnge!

i hate to be the bearer of bad news but if thats from a hatchery then its a Easter Egger not an Ameraucana, and you can never tell what color they will be, because they are essentually(sp?) mutts

i guess only time will tell, the feedstore - orchelns had them labeled as americauna- but they had various colors in there,,,

I have good news and bad news. The bad news first. The bad news is that you have an Easter Egger. Do a search on here for "Ameraucana" or "Easter Egger" with me as the "Author" and you'll find more than ample information on both to tell you all you want or need to know.

The good news is that there's nothing wrong with having Easter Eggers. They just ain't Ameraucanas. I have no doubt you'll enjoy your birds immensely and have a lot of fun with them.

If you should decide you'd like true Ameraucanas in the future, just keep me in mind. You can see pictures of my birds and eggs on my website. Just click the "Ameraucana" and "Eggs" album.

God Bless,

I don't know what color she will be, but she is very cute! My easter eggers were also called Ameraucanas by the feed store, but even though we knew they weren't purebred, we loved their beautiful colors . Mine lay blue, blue-green, mint green and olive eggs. Their eggs are large and they lay almost every day. I also have baby Ameraucanas, and Araucanas. I love them all.

I am hopelessly in love with her already.... irregardless of what they called her- she is the friendliest little one! I have 4 week olds and my 5 week olds in another room that i will be integrating these with when they get larger... so no guesses as to coloring?

Well, I can't be of any help to you, but I was wondering the same sort of thing about mine, and posted a thread a little while ago titled "pictures of your EEs as chicks and grown?" which you can find here-- https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=153277 --people posted some nice examples of what their EEs looked like as little chicks and later as adult birds.

Nobody yet posted one that looked just like your chick, but yours sure is adorable. Please do post updates as she grows so we can see how she turns out. It seems that it's really hard to tell what color EEs will turn out based on their chick coloring, maybe because they're "mutts". If any of the experts here know differently, I'd love to hear about it.
