Ameracauna/Easter egger hen or roo

Hi everyone! These 2 ameraucana/Easter eggers are about 7-8 weeks old. There combs are not growing very big, but the one with more brown spots on its body is starting to get pink. Wondering if anyone had any opinions if they are hens or Roos or if it's still too early to tell. Thanks for the help

From what I can make out, the pic of the single comb "looks" maybe to be a cockerel, need a "closer" pic. Don't know if it's a science or just old wives tale but I tend to watch for the "pea" rows; 1 row = pullet, 3 rows = cockerel; and also the developing pinkness, along with the saddle & hackle feathering. Yours look to be EEs, I've had them & they are fun birds, love the colored eggs.

Every time I have had one with that coloring it has been a pullet. Never saw a rooster be that color. Pattern appears to be pullet also. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply! Would you say both appear to be pullets sense there coloring is different? These 2 are the most friendly so I'm really hoping for girls!

I would lean toward pullet right now.....you can also post them on the "Easter Egger sexing tricks....." thread for some other experienced guesses. They are not always right and sometimes a "general rule" doesn't work....like my red girl was highly guessed boy.....incorrectly but for the most part they have a good track record.

Can someone help me out? I have an EE that is 18 weeks old and I'm questioning if it's a hen or cockerel! I just got my 1st blue and green egg today and have 4 total EEs! Thoughts? PLEASE help! (Ignore the leghorn on the bottom right!)
