My hen Cleo has not layed an egg in WEEKS. This is her second time having problems. The first time was for 2 months and ended last December. That was for her molt. Now, she has the same symptoms, but with less grouchiness, more dustbathing, and no feathers lost. She is only about 1 1/3 years old. I give her grit and move the coop (every day and every other day, respectively). She normally lays green eggs. She won't let us handle her. We keep predators away, the last attack was by a hawk in December last year. She seems healthy.

Any suggestions?

She sounds kind of normal to me, honestly. She sounds like an Easter Egger, (not an Ameraucana) which I know it doesn't matter to a lot of people, but honestly, I've heard of and personally known a lot of Easter Eggers to "go their own way" with production. I had a hen that laid perfectly fine for her first few months, then quit for a month, then went back on, then took the winter break, and once spring came back again she laid about 1 egg a week or two. After her molt in the fall, she never laid again. There was nothing truly wrong with her except common bad breeding (she had a bent spine and stopped laying because she was internally laying - I didn't know about those issues until after I culled her) Some Easter Eggers do have issues, some don't. It's a gamble.
