I have a hen that I bought at a local feed store. She was labled as an Ameracauna but I was wondering if she was really an EE. She lays light green eggs that sometimes have brown spots. She has only been laying for 2 weeks.
P.S. Sorry if her beard looks a little weird. She got into the beets in our garden and it stained her feathers. I think there might still be a little red in this picture. GOTTA LOVE CHICKENS!!!!
The fact that you got her from a feed store. She's not a standard color. Her parent's weren't standard colors, most likely, thus weren't themselves pure breds.
Easter eggers are very nice birds, and what most of us want for eggs. Most of us don't care what color the bird is, or like the non-standard colors our ees come in. We just want green or blue eggs. And that's what we get!
