Ameracauna pullet? I hope

I agree about sexing them...I was convinced I had 4 pullets one time and two cockeralss...one started to crow and promptly got rid of the competition. Okay no big deal...started to get an egg every few days...they out of nowhere the so called pullets developed combs and such. Several friends and I had been watching them and were all surprised. Guessed watching their bud get whupped scared them!

That is one reason I am liking my OEGB...I can get them figured out nce their feathers come in!

Please please please be a pullet. I say that to HER everyday. So, if she's not...HE may be a bit femmy. She hasn't crowed yet. Her cage mates are a week older than her and one of them crowed last week.

I am going to say cockeral because the first picture looks like the flash washed out the color. I think there is too much red for that age to be a pullet, mine didn't start getting red until after 12 weeks. Sorry, hope I'm wrong

. Could be the lines?

Well, it was early and not much light except for the red heat lamp and the flash. Maybe I can pull her out and do a photo shoot. If she's a he..he's going to the auction next weekend with the 8 sumatras..and I'll be sad. But, I guess I'll have to try again. She cost me about $40. not including anything after she hatched! ouch

Hold on to it for now. According to my calender it's only about 7 weeks old. I'd hate for you to get rid of it and have it have been a pullet. I am leaning towards cockerel, but they can suprise you.

I'd be willing to send you some eggs once my girls start up again, towards spring, and they wouldn't be 40.00
