Ameracauna with beard

i have a new ameracauna pullet and she has feathers growing out of her face. Is this a sign of health problems or just a different trait?

I’d like to follow this as well. I have 3. And mine also have fluffy feathers on their faces. They seem healthy though.

That's perfectly normal- in fact they are supposed to have those. The ones on the cheek are called muffs and under the beak is called a beard. They'll probably also have poufy necks. It's really cute in my opinion- I've 2 in the brooder right now.

Yes she is the sweetest chicken and so unique! Her name is Dixie chick! Haha
