Ameraucana lays brown eggs?

Well our "Americauna" lays pinkish brown eggs since I disturbed her while laying, I saw what egg she was sitting on. Personality wise, she is super sweet, quiet, funny, very friendly and always wants to follow us around or get pet. Chicken Little is all of our favorite chicken, so I guess we don't care if they egg is pink or brown. Next batch of chicks, I am getting more Americaunas because of their charming personality.

I bought 2 Ameraucana chicks from a reputable breeder as part of a flock of 6 diverse chickens (wyandotte, cuckoo maran, krainkoppe too). Anyway, when I went to look for eggs yesterday, one of the Ameraucanas was in the laying box - my access is from the back and I startled her, so she stood up. I could see the whole laying box and there was no egg in there. I sat and waited about 10 minutes and then checked again, and she had laid an egg.

A very pale tan egg!

Will this be the color ALWAYS, or will she eventually begin laying bluegreen eggs?

Same problem here. I bought, what I was told were 2 Amereucanas, but they are both laying light tan eggs.

I too have been duped the local feed store said they were selling americaunas but I apparently got an easter egger, she is laying the very light pink egg, she is my spring chick so this is her first laying and I was waiting to find a blue egg went to check the coop but got 4 brown ish eggs I only have 5 chickens my older 3 are brown layers. I also have one more spring chick she is supposed to be an olive egger but I think she is not either. I haven't gotten 5 eggs yet so not sure if she has started laying yet.
