Dang, dang, dang! Any thoughts on the question of whether my two lonely girls will be okay without some more friends? I have access to some 5 week olds. Should a get a couple more or will just two be happy enough?

Thanks! Guess I am back to the breeder down the road for another try at some pullets! So disappointing to have 4 roos out of six for my first try!

I feel your pain I got 3 roos out of 8 and am rehoming blue polish roo this weekend.

Definitely an EE. Can't tell for sure but I would agree it is most likely a cockerel.

Well, just an update. I took the little he/she back over to the guy I got it from to help me sex it. At least he said he couldn't blame me for the confusion. He says it is either a cockerel with really late spur growth and really round saddle feathers or an extremely dominant pullet. At least his boy really wanted it because of it's fun colors, so it will have a happy life one way or the other. He is 80% sure it is a cockerel, but says it is pretty bizarre that it has characteristics of both sexes. So thanks to everyone for helping me out and we will see (at his place) what it finally turns out to be without my girls having to deal with it being such a tyrant in the coop! Thanks again!
