Check the thread comments for more pictures later. I posted pics every couple of weeks with my last (they were also my first) chicks and plan to do the same here.

These were sold to me as "Auracana/Ameraucana (Easter Eggers)" but they were purchased at a local auction so I'm not quick to trust what they're described as. I've ruled out Auracana. No ear tufts, for one. I've tried breaking down the EE and Ameraucana descriptions but I'm not finding leg color. So, I'm sure there are some that show Ams out there. Help? : )

The first was sold as a Speckled Sussex.

4 days old:

Sex?

1- (Speckled Sussex suspected cockerel)

Sex, breed, and color of all below? : )

2- EE/Am/Aur, suspected pullet by feather sexing:

3- EE/Am/Aur, not sure by feather sexing but hoping pullet

4- EE/Am/Aur suspected pullet by feather sexing

5- EE/Am/Aur, suspected cockerel

Even if you have no idea, hope you enjoyed the fluffy cuteness!

Chicks 2 through 5 are EEs. If you want to double check you can get on the ameraucana breeders club website at www.ameraucana.org . And your first chick dosen't look liked a speckled sussex to me, it looks more like a silver laced wyandotte. I not positive about the first chick since i haven't had a lot of experience with these but i have a wyandotte chick that looks just liike yours. Hope this helps.

Yeah thats what i thought about the first it dose look like a Silver lace wyandotte

I went to the ameraucana.org standard page and again, no leg coloration. Yet, I see a lot of people saying they see the wrong colors but I don't see anything about what the right colors are. : /

He sure does look like a SLW! Grrrr. Oh, well. At least the adults are pretty. I didn't go for either breed but this one was just so cute with the stripes.

When i said that you can look on the ameraucana website, i didnt mean to see if leg color was right, i was talking about the feather color of your chicks. EEs either have yellow or green legs which in your case you have both and ameraucanas are supposed to have slate colored legs.

Chicks 2 through 5 are Easter Eggers and not Ameraucanas. Photos of Ameraucanas are here--they even have photos of chicks, and you can see that none really look like yours. EE's tend to share some traits with Silver Ameraucanas, but the leg color of yours is off.

The first chick could be an odd EE, since it looks like it may have beard and muffs. Does it have a pea comb or a rose comb?

Time will tell on genders.

There are EE's with slate legs too, to muddle things further

Tricky little EEs, they try to confuse everyone

I have 2 that have slate legs, but are very obviously EE. Here's one, she's the one on the right, obviously.
