I have 10 week old Ameraucana chicks and a couple existing blue hens, and can now sex 100%. So trying to decide which Roo(s) to keep for next springs breeding. I have the following pullets… blue, splash, wheaten and blue wheaten. I have 4 cockerels… 1 black(so far no leakage, but could change), 1 blue, 1 Blue Wheaten and one Wheaten. I can’t decide which ones to keep and which ones to pass along for the most variety and quality of chicks. I know it would have been best for me to stick to just wheaten or just BBS to start but I love them all! 😂🥰

Separate BBS from wheatens or next generation will not breed to standard because of leakage.

I was going to say similar.

Set up 2 breeding groups. The blue & splash hens w/ the blue cockerel. If the black is better, except for leakage, consider him. Where is the possible leakage coming from?

The blue wheaten & wheaten hens w/ the best wheaten cockerel. Maybe consider keeping both & alternating them w/ the hens to build your flock.
