We are needing to make Roo Stew and select a new rooster but we have several options and a mixed flock.

Our current flock:
Bielfelders
Black Australorps
Production Blue
Olive Egger (no idea of breed background because she was a mislabeled chick)

Rooster options:
1 year old Lavender Orpington
4 month old 3rd generation Olive Egger (I think with part splash Americauna)
2 week old offspring of our current rooster with one of our above hens but not sure which (production blue X mystery hen)

What would you do?
We are needing to cull our current rooster because I think the stress of moving and strangers helping us with chicken tending for a bit caused him some stress slash gave him some bad bravado and now he is human aggressive and there’s no turning back. So we have options, but can’t decide which is best for breeding future chicks, hen protection, family-friendly, not to mention integrating him into the current flock.

personally i'd go with the 4 month old assuming it is not the child of your current rooster. I find with roosters the parents personality is often passed down.
That’s where I’m leaning. He is not the offspring of our mean roo. He is the offspring of a friend’s roo and they are offering him to us. The lavender Orpington is my hold up because he’s already a year, and I was wondering if we would prefer a “pure breed” rooster for fertilizing eggs with our girls vs a mixed breed or if the olive Egger roo would be a better option. I’m leaning toward the olive Egger roo, I just know everything we fertilize would be a BYM at that point.
