They are EEs, not Ameraucanas; which means they are mixed, which means they don't have standard color patterns, which means you can't predict what they'll do color-wise.

It's part of the fun of owning EEs, they are kind of like having a deluxe box of of chocolates with no guide. Never know what you'll get

Colors are a crapshoot as far as easter eggers are concerned. I'd be far more concerned with temperment and how they treat the ladies. Any of those birds will add color to your babies.

ok well I think I will go with temperment then :) a couple of them are real flighty and then a couple have that mean tendency hmmm they were suppose to be Ameraucanas NOT EEs what is the standard for Ameraucanas anyway?? Is it a difference in color pattern or type or both???

There is differences in both type and pattern. EEs are an unregulated mix, a mutt if you will. They can come in any color, with any combination of features.

Ameraucanas are a highly regulated breed that can share one or two features sometimes with EEs, which can confuse people (but quite frankly, since EEs are mixes, they can share features with any breed). Here is a really good website that discusses this: www.ameraucana.org They also have nice pictures of the colors these birds MUST come in (these colors breed predictably, and truely).

Hatcheries are well known to lie to their customers about selling EEs as Ameraucans. What their motivations are, one can only guess.

i would keep the first one depending on its temperament hes just so pretty colored

i would take flighty over mean any day...my games are flighty which really doesnt bother me unless one of my lil sisters are going to want to show them then its the lets try and catch them time lol

Flighty wins over mean, hands down. A flighty rooster may calm down. A mean rooster is an ongoing aggravation.
