In this one if you look carefully you can see some feathers sprouting around her neck head.

If your chick does have a pea comb, that increases the chance that it is an EE (even without muffs and beard) and eliminates some of the other possibilities. Can you post a close-up photo of the comb (front view)?

Your little chick is not growing muffs - muffs are on the cheeks and are present when newly hatched (see pic below).

I have a few that look like this and many with no muffs

sorry misread thought you said it was not an EE

Cool with me. I happen to like the descriptions of their fun personalities I've read on line. I'm a moron, I was thinking muff was around neck, duh. Ok, I get it now. I have a very pretty EE hen and I get my pretty colored eggs.
