I have 12 Ameraucana chicks that I got at the farmers co-op and 1 of the pullets doesn't look like the others. She doesnt have the eyeliner eyes or stripes and is mostly red. Reminds me of a RIR so I wonder if she might have gotten tossed in there on accident. Tell me what you think. She does have blue legs however so I'm hoping she will be a mostly red ameraucana.

You have Easter Eggers :) EEs are a mixed variety blue/green egg layer, so it's quite possible to get them in close to every color there is. EEs can be anywhere from solid white all the way to partridge and BB red variants. EEs are always fun to raise, you never know what they're going to look like!

I have ameraucanas as well and the breed omes in many different colors. Your chick looks to me like like it could be a red. It can be a bit harder to tell with this breed but if you wait a little it might be easier to tell.

If you get on the ameracauna breeder club website you can see pics of all the excepted colors.(LF, bantam, and chicks). Your chicks are very cute, but they aren't ameraucanas, they are EEs. You should get on the EE braggers thread.

Thanks for the comments, Ill be posting pics every week as they grow. I'm excited to see what colors turn out. After doing a bit more research I think I'd rather have EE's anyways, so that's good news. Thanks again, and check back for updated pics!!!
