Ameraucanas? Hens or Cockerels?

Anyone else? Am I grasping at straws to be hoping for a hen? Especially the last one. It is really a fun chicken to have around. Every night it hops up in the kitchen window and watches me cook dinner. I definitely haven't heard any cock a doodle doos but it talks and talks all day long. I know the comb is early but is that a definite sign?

comb and wattle development along with there color and the over all coloring of the birds indacates cockerels and not pullets

Gah. How unlucky were you to get all boys! Don't play the lottery today.

If you want "Ameraucana" hens from the feed store, you could try ordering them instead from My Pet Chicken. You can get just a few and they should sex them way better than the feed store employee. Look on their web site for "Easter Eggers". I have 2 from there and they're sweet and lay me beautiful blue eggs.

That second one is going to be a very pretty rooster! I'm sorry you can't keep any of them and I'd definitely shop elsewhere for chicks next time.

Thanks for the sympathy guys! I appreciate it. I have been going back and forth over whether to hang onto them and wait to see or go ahead and let them go and start over. Since no one seems to think that there is any chance of a pullet from either of them it looks like moving on is the smartest thing.

No, there really isn't any possibility that they're female -- they're already showing the start of their adult rooster feathering. You'd only be feeding them and becoming more attached while waiting for the inevitable crowing.
