Will all the chicks be blue? Could some be splash?

I have a pen with 2 white roos over 6 white hens plus one mauve. I have a 3 week old chick who started off yellow so we assumed white, but now I'm seeing the odd gray feather.

Thanks for your input

Recessive white covers all other plumage color genes, so it's hard to say what might be hiding without a test cross. It's possible your recessive white rooster is Blue or Splash underneath his recessive white exterior, in which case crossing him to a Mauve would work the same as crossing a Blue or Splash rooster to a Mauve hen, with the addition of all offspring carrying recessive white from their father.

Blue x Mauve should get you about 25% Black, 50% Blue, 25% Splash, all males carrying chocolate from their Mauve mother.
Splash x Mauve should get you about equal numbers of Blue and Splash offspring, and again all males carry chocolate.
