What can you all tell me about your experiences with Amerecaunas? Are they good with kids? Good layers? I would love to hear the pros and cons of this breed!

That’s a totally different breed. I’m in the US in Massachusetts

The bird in the pic is an EE. Araucana have pea combs. I’ve had two EEs the cockerel was a good cockerel to the pullets but human aggressive. My pullet EE was skiddish at first but has warmed up after laying. She is the second in the pecking order but is not a bully. She will allow you to hold her if you can catch her .

I can tell you that Ameraucana are one of my favorite breeds. They are sweet, gentle flock mates, handle kids well, and they’re so adorable. I have both large fowl and bantams, and they’re all lovely . I’m partial to my little bantams, they’re less skittish and love to sit with me when I visit! I just adore their fluffy faces
