American Blackbelly Sheep, Anyone?

Although I don't have Blackbellies, I do raise Katahdins and Dorpers. Based on the information I read, your rams could start "getting busy" any time now! If the ewes are 7 months old. allowing app. 5 months gestation, then they should lamb when they are a year old. Usually you don't want a ewe to lamb any younger or they could have problems. Having 2 rams may be a bit much though, they may start fighting, a lot! I might suggest picking the best looking one for your breeder and sending the other lad to 'freezer camp'.

While I don't have any experience with that particular cross, I am a big fan of crossbreeding in general due to their resulting vigor.
Good luck, and have fun!
