Uncle Sterling that’s cute! Are you keeping all of them? You sure have a nice place for geese mine would be in heaven.

I know a breeder that owns a lavender farm. He breeds some pretty cool stuff (lemurs, parrots, Orpingtons, and American Buff geese). We are discussing swapping a couple of youngsters. I had people that were interested in eggs but their incubators were full when she started laying. One lady in particular needs a gander for her hen who clutches and doesn't hatch anything. So one male is promised to her. I'm hoping to at least keep a pair out of them and if I can get a pair from the lavender farm that will be six geese.

I'm assuming as she's raising this clutch, she won't double clutch and raise another set this year, correct?

That's what I thought. She looks like she's getting ready to molt now. She has some wonky wing feathers.
