American Chicken Breeds

Heritage breeds are breeds accepted to the APA before the 60's, and in most definitions, bred to the standard.

Most heritage breeds are but not all. Breeds like Buckeyes, Rocks, New Hampshires, Rhode Island Reds, Wyandottes - American.

Are you saying that most of the "Heritage Breds" are American in origin? If so you're mistaken. I the current APA Standard 13 breeds that were admitted prior to 1960 are in the American Class. Other classes contain a total of 30 breeds admitted prior to 1960. This is large fowl only, no bantams.
