Oh no! I feel for you!Btw. . This is exactly how I feel about it.

Probably the victorinox outshined the benchmade.

I will get the stuff to fix it tomorrow but its aggravating to say the leastThat sucks royally.![]()

I use stones and a leather strop with aluminum oxide and polishing compound. If you don’t abuse the knife you really only ever have to strop it every now and then to maintain a hair shaving edge.I don’t actually know
The benchmade is my buddy’s knife, I’ve never used one, but he has no complaints
I’ve used and abused that little victorinox, it’s a handy little knife... I probably have 10 of the same make in different blade lengths/styles in my knife roll, but reach for the little guy most and first...
Here is a link, but I don’t think this is a good price... I haven’t kept up, but I feel like this should not cost more than $14... I’m sure I gave less than $10...
It’s a serious little work horse of a knife... I should shop around and buy another one...
I do use a hone ( butcher steel ) to true the edge habitually... and I for me a good hone/steel is almost as important as the blade...

You can use a leather belt as a strope. A stopes purpose is to nock off the leftover burr left from sharpening metal. If you have a good knife that holds a edge good most of the time you can hit it on a stop a couple times and get it right back razor sharpI’ve never used a strope, I’m in fact completely ignorant of them... but interested
