I don’t disagree... it was the decision of a couple aunts that were nurses, due to the medical issues of his last few months, that was what was decided... so we stayed with him 24/7 till he was in the veterans home, and then he still had a lot of company...

he was okay with it, sharp as a tack till the last week or so and cracking jokes and flirting with the nurses till the end.

He's got those nurses wrapped around his finger. I bet grandma rolls in her grave on a daily basis.

I could probably take ya down a back road here and make ya have a heart attack and mess yourself at the same time. That's close enough beggers can't be choosers.

I’m just kidding but man some families will put their parents in a home for a skinned knee. “We’re out of band aids to the home you go!” Lol

My grandad would laugh and say, ‘they threw me in the home!’ every time someone would come into see him, lol

Me and several of my cousins took shifts, and he’d tell everyone ‘they got my grandsons watching me, I’ll get one of them to break me out when I get my legs back under me’

And he’d say ‘I’m not old enough to be in here yet, I’m only 99’
