American Gamefowl

This kept popping up in my recommendations. . I finally had to watch it. :lau
Fast forward to where he's pressure washing the hide if you wanna good chuckle.
What a dam mess!
I’ve seen plenty of guys do that. The only way that is worth it is if you have a big chest freezer and you thaw and flesh all the hides at once. Otherwise that’s a nope. Besides I don’t mind the exercise of fleshing pelts.

Now, this rope trick I liked. Done that today and it helped me out quite a bit.
Much better than having the darn thing swinging around on me especially since I wasn't using a proper gambrel.
You’re not slipping down the slippery slope of teaching us to skin are you?

I'd rather not have the wet nasty fat flying all over the place :lau
Plus it didn't even take it all off. Didn't look worth it all to me.
Doesn’t seem too bad. I’d prefer a metal tail stripper but it includes the zippers so that’ll work fine.
Yeah. . that tail stripper didn't look too whippy.
But I'm not too worried about that piece.. I done fine with just splitting the tail a bit more and two thin metal rods this time.

Doh! Looks like my earlier post got cut off... doesn’t matter...

Finally got back to the beaver carcass camera today... I had it on videos but forgot the larger SD card so the one in it filled up fast and I didn’t get as many as I was hoping... but here’s a still shot of an eagle from one vid clip

No foxes or coyotes showed up huh?

I Plan on it . .but no I haven't ordered a fleshing knife yet or looked into getting a board. I rolled it up fur side in and stuck it in the freezer with the other one.
Did you mean fur side out? They should be rolled fur side out nose to tail. Shouldn’t be a big deal either way if it’s not in there too long though.

It’s hard to justify spending too much nowadays on anything for trapping. I haven’t even ordered any new lures yet. They aren’t cheap and figured I’ll just use what I have for now. I probably will order a few though anyway.
