You have good birds and if I were you I would not cull a healthy bird. I would sell it (or give it away), let the buyer decide what he wants to do with it. It would give the bird a new life and chance to prove himself somewhere else.

Your cull might be someone else's best bird. Not everybody is going to have the cream of the crop.

CL ads are great way for people to find their first Gamefowl.

Nope I don't see it that way at all, I feel just like I said. If it is behind its fathers , brothers, uncles, nephews then I can't rightly sell or barter birds off just because it's easier and there's a quick buck involved. It is our job to do right by them to me and many others before me to keep them coming like we see fit that requires culling nature also sees it this way we're looking to keep them as is or to improve not go backwards. In my mind if you let anything subpar out then the next guy breeds it sells it... then the next does the same, then the next guy and it's all a slippery down hill slope that has no good ending for the person or the birds. We have to have standards even in layers, cattle, dogs, goats etc etc.

I know what you saying about standards and breeding down...
If he wasnt game I wouldnt sell him or give it away either. But if he is game, I'd let him prove himself. Im guessing he is game if he came from havocs birds.

But If he ain't game you'd better cull one or both of the parents too.

Buddy ain't a bird here not game I have birds from Havoc, Del Mack, Gustavo shanchez and a fella from NC. I still have standards lets put it plan if it ain't like the others and what I expect from them it will never ever ever leave my yard it goes in my belly.

And you automatically bringing Havoc's birds into it is seriously funny... you should probably look in the mirror. If I had a problem with them game wise he'd hear about it first and so would the others if I had game issues with them they'd also get a picture with a pile of birds and shortly afterwards a picture of them being bbq'd nice and slow over some charcoal. Not every bird is worth keeping no matter where it's from, I have no issue keeping to my standards without them you might as well be pissing in the wind. I don't know about you, but I don't enjoy pee on my britches leg.

Why? No one needs to come on here and think you don't have to cull these birds and that it's ok to sell/trade off said culls.
