Found a bale of straw today.
The kind that is compressed and in a plastic bag.
12 bucks!

Yeah I went ahead and got it along with a couple more bags of shavings that we're almost $2 less than what I paid yesterday.
I mostly use the pine shavings but when I have so much mud like this I like to use a combination of the two.
Yeah it's kind of chopped up. But since I was in my car I do like getting it wrapped like that.
It's very soft and fluffy not like a normal bale of straw. It makes good nest material for the ducks.

Hog nosed snake. I picked him up and he wouldn’t bite me. They are good to have around and won’t eat a chicken or egg
