American Gamefowl

Honestly it depends on the weather. You’re right the UV rays just kill them fast. They dry out and the birds shred them pretty fast. I usually replace them at the end of summer and the end of winter. There’s always a few here and there that need to be replaced more often. You can open up 10 tarps and they’ll all be a little different color and thickness. That’s Chinese quality for ya. They’re cheap though so whatever.
I agree but I'm still going to try to find something else. The silt fence last about 2yrs but its not completely water proof

I don’t worry about them too much in summer as long as the tarp is still in good enough shape to provide shade. In winter I make sure they’re in good shape because I don’t want them getting wet in cold weather. I still haven’t found anything that’s remotely close in price even if you don’t have to replace them anywhere near as often. I still look though.

Everything is going smooth this way. Went and picked 8buckets of apples yesterday with the family, I can't wait for the apple butter, just got to get the peeled now

Lovely family Hillbilly:love

Apple butter sounds great!
My trees finally produced a few apples this year. Most went in the freezer, but I should have put up some applesauce or apple butter too.
It's funny, I have a couple of my own trees, but I'm surrounded by commercial apple orchards!
