American Gamefowl

Hi sorry if I’m being a bother. But I saw these “Pumpkin Gamefowl” chickens and I thought they were really pretty. Is there a specific color they are called? Or is the coloring specific to this kind of Gamefowl? I’ve never seen any other chicken breed this color. :p

When I move again it’ll be out of this hellhole and I’ll cull the yard, burn the wood pens and pile the metal wire by the road for someone to take. Might take a handful of select birds but that’s it.

I also completely get where you are coming from aswell. What’s at the house is the macs, cubans and One black/Mac and the original black pair. I have a few free ranging but nothing like before what I didn’t cull male wise is not at the house penned up I do have 3 stags here still free ranging ima cord real soon.

Pretty sure those are technically called golden something or another theirs a lot of different “pumpkin” colors in gamefowl and so many names you’d be hard pressed to keep up it’s sorta like when blue is in the mix you can get a wide variety.

They’re called yellow birchen I think. There was a guy on another forum that knew all about them. I’m just repeating what I’ve read though I have no experience with birds in that color.
