"Regular" 2X4 is $5.25. Used to get those for around $2.00

I have always wondered, are these cages predator-proof (ie, electrified?) and how do the birds stay warm only being covered on two sides?
There not predator proof but the chickens stay protected from the elements enough with just two sides if you turn the pen so it blocks your main wind direction.
