American Gamefowl

Yeah you can the night before last I spent 2 hrs trying to catch 2 older chicks that escaped on me. One leiper pullet and a mug I can’t quite tell the sex just yet. That mug just ran me around the yard forever.
I had doors open but regardless I’m dealing with the same. Getting ready to switch out most of my feeders and waterers for cups now. Getting burnt out with the hens knocking them over constantly. It’s been really hot here lately too.
I haven’t hatched much the past few years but this year I set every hen up and every single one set on eggs except one. Long story short I have chicks all over the place.
Sounds like my idea of heaven with the chicks running around all over the place.

Two oldest 2024 stags of my shuffler line-A. They are so slow to put on color and mature but they do mature fairly large. I resetting another line by breeding in some of what are thought to be pure Peirce Shuffler. The F1 cross is also really slow to color up but seems to mature faster. They also show game earlier that what is optimal for my preferences. Pictures of the F1's are going to be a challenge.
