I gotta buddy that has a buzzard raise babies by his combine in a barn every year... they look like silkies to me....

.... I had me a plan to slip a couple silkie chicks in there at night... I figured if they lived they’d be ‘game’ and I’d have the start of a new line of ‘Game Silkies’ that I could sell and become wealthy....

But my buddy didn’t want me messing with his pet buzzards so the plan fell apart

Making the switch. There’s a lot of GF haters around. Ive been peer pressured into silkies,BR, and meat birds. Oh and some colored egg layers. Those are just the bestest.

You should cross those meat birds into your games.
Then throw in a little black silkie blood.
Start you a George Foreman GF line.

They’re turkey buzzards... I’m not sure we get the others here... I can’t recall... but we mostly have turkey buzzards...

They must like old buildings too because I had another friend send me a picture one year of one by an old falling in house on a farm he had cattle on... him and his boy thought it was a monkey when they first saw it!

My buddy’s wife is a farm girl that grew up raising hogs and every kinda livestock... and she loves her silkies... she about ran me out of the yard when I told her they looked like baby buzzards, lol

I wonder if your chicks from your black over mug hen will come a little bigger too, from and bit of hybrid vigor!

No idea these blacks ain't really large birds per say good an solid though. My guy from havoc will probably cock out a hair over 5lbs. I'd say I'm looking at mid 5s if I'd had to guess maybe some larger or smaller which suits me just fine should be some great birds in em.
