I'm not exactly sure but the oldest biddies made a fun time of it.
I’m not gonna lie. I half expected those chicks to dwindle. I’ve got over 70 young birds of various ages free ranging. Sleeping in trees etc, romping through the woods. I was just thinking today watching the birds that I’ve got quite a few roosters and the sh*t is about to hit the fan. It’s really a testament to captain sparkles grinner getter special lure formula. She’s pretty too.... of course you realize you’ve jinxed it...
Better bury a walnut, one whole corn of kernel, and a two corn shucks under a flat rock, by your biggest shade tree, then sprinkle with salt, and tap it three times with your left toe.... leather soles or bare feet... no synthetics, lest you bring on more bad luck....
Of course that’s an Ozark spell for unjinxing the chickens... not sure how far out it’s effective![]()
I don’t even think the aggravation is worth it to eat crabs or anything like that. Hot dogs are like the perfect meal.Probably best, sometimes what was ‘food’ for my old man, was edible but that’s about it....
...boiled snapping turtle eggs comes to mind, basically a boiled egg infused with grit/sand....
I remember choking a couple down before I realized, heck if I want eggs the fridge has several dozen that are “pulp free”... why am I eaten this? Lol
