American Gamefowl

Found some old pictures...
Interesting. The little stag looks like a "splash" to me, but wouldn't think one would come out of that hen... If you put the little stag over a black hen, I wonder if they would all come blue of some sort. When I raised wheaton OEG, I had some come that white coloring too, but with red, no grey ever showed.

A lot of "white" birds look or could pass for splash birds I don't think theirs any blue in em I think it would be more pronounced. The greys in there for sure I was told only about the grey blood after the fact. I'd say thats where the slivers coming from It doesn't seem to be too strong, but strong enough and definitely not as strong as last season this year with him over his daughter. The only birds I've seen come close to these in feathers is some Sig has posted long ago and I think they were called silver bullets if I'm not mistaken.

The Plan is to pick the best stag and go from there idk what's on one side or not after all these years before I had em and probably before my time. A guess is about as close as I'll get, but colors really never mattered much to me neither has the word pure it's interesting but not the focus if they can resemble their father where it counts im fine with that.

I do have one pullet that's from the black over the Wheaton this year and she's a fine looking bird. She's behind sparky.

Lol He may have the woo attitude, but no none of the birds here came from mean gene minus my one pumpkin hen and she came from his fathers breeding pen in Wilkes county I have yet to breed her.

The white cock and hen came from down past Shelby nc aways from a fella named Bryan that had two separate yards. The birds weren't supposed to be closely related if at all. I got the cock a few months before the hen and never knew she had Cantrell grey blood In her until I asked why I was getting grey birds lol.

Besides those I have birds from
Havoc, Del mac and Sig/ Gustavo Sanchez.
