American Gamefowl

I’m sure they see roosters in my yard all the time so they think they might have a chance. I have no idea I wish I could catch them in the act. My guess it’s another BYC type that raises birds yet can’t bring themselves to put down a bird themselves.
If they can’t cull them they shouldn’t own them. It’s irresponsible and pathetic.
Nonetheless every bird I find from here on out will be shot on sight. I work way too hard to keep my birds healthy to have unknown birds dumped on me.
Do you even have any close neighbors with chickens?
They have to be getting dumped there. :he
Freakin people I swear.

To whoever keeps dumping miniature roosters in my yard....

Sorry that was me... was that the wrong thing to do? Should I have left him with a hen also?

I just didn’t get along with him anymore... even though I tried everything...

I followed the “how to” info I found on this site and took a broom to him, then a mop, then a swifter ....

then I punted him, then I drop kicked him, then I judy chopped him...

then I chased him around in my bath robe and made rooster noises, then I put on pants and chased him around on the lawnmower...

then tried to give him treats like Japanese beetles and maggots, and then I tried snuggles, then I tried to give him cash ... nothing worked :idunno

I think he was just a bad one, I’ve read that happens with hatchery stock a lot...

I just couldn’t take the chance that a neighbor kid might come by when I was napping and that rooster would sink a spur in one of their little melon heads, and then I’d get hauled in to court again... like that last three times I had a rooster... I just wish the wouldn’t be so mean

I thought you could stitch some bugs out of him ;)

Shame of it is these same folks are against our type birds and run off at the mouth bound and determined to cause us problems..... yet drop off birds on a fellas yard with said frown down on birds. And he's right random birds could cause a dang mess for penned birds and bring in sickness too.
I hope he gets ahold of em myself maybe they'll think twice before doing such again. As for the bird he just done what the owner couldn't do but should have done.
I agree with you. I was saying it's a shame that some jerk keeps dumping birds instead of taking responsibility for them.
I would have done the same thing. I'm tenderhearted, but random birds showing up/being dumped would freak me out.
