Hubby wants the cross bow cause he had a pretty bad shoulder injury when he was in the car accident that killed his wife before me. .
Prior to that he used to shoot competition archery.
So. . I have to let That one slide. He'll get one eventually. . . but he's gonna hunt with the compound one more year I think.

Why didn’t they take the deer?

He said he would rather see it be used and not have to deal with it.
And luckily mama Shaw works with and knows the agent and his wife. . and so he give the kid a break for our sake.

Imo that’s all crossbows should be used for. Should have to provide some sort of doctors note too. Unless of course someone wanted to use it during gun season since that’s what it is.

Just small.
Little does do taste the best. . . . but hardly worth the fine.
If he'd just taken the one and not been greedy..

We used to have that regulation in Missouri. .but now they've made it legal.
DH won't go to the dr. For nothin. . so he hasn't used the bow much for several years.
He's been shooting it a bit off and on this year. . gonna try to go one more time I think before he gives it up.

I've never noticed a taste change with ages or size maybe a tad more tender at best. Most deer in any area eat and forage for the same that's probably a factor but not a huge one.
