American Gamefowl

LOL Yes, "back in the day" some of those things were fun. Used to ride 4 wheelers, sometimes hang out and watch folks get stuck in mud holes, etc.
Now, it seems annoying.

We do have some OHV trails in NC. I've never been, but got some family that goes.

The OHV thing makes me remember a squabble between mountain bikers and horse folks on some of the national forest trails here a couple decades ago ...

simpler times, lol

Maybe because I grew up in the sticks, but I always went to town to be rowdy and obnoxious ... and I’m certain I was both

I think people just suck more than they used to ( bet the old timers said the same thing, lol) but also there are just so many more of them, all being more sucky ;)

I’m glad I didn’t get old like everyone else
That’s one thing I don’t like about “down south”. All the big lakes/man made impoundments are a playground for dumb*sses with big boats and jet skis. You can’t hardly fish even for catfish with a 62 lb weight holding it on bottom. It’s a total sh*tshow. It’s amazing I live in the most densely populated state in the country and I like it better than many of the southern states because of that kinda mess. I don’t think they realize just how damn annoying they are. I think most are more friendly outside of this area so they don’t see anything wrong with crowding up places like that.

Here it would be a cold day in hell before someone got too close to me fishing. In GA people would walk right up next to me and cast. I’m looking at them like they’ve lost their mind.
Man do I have some stories about an uncle who took me fishing with my dad for the first couple times. He was a loose cannon with that kinda stuff. :lau
He had a mouth on him. I think that’s where I got it from.

Nonetheless it’s not too hard to get away from the idiots if you’re willing to walk, paddle a little further. The hunting and fishing will be better anyway. Most of the lazy fat *sses aren’t far from their truck.

One day duck hunting a Wma. This guy pulls up with two little kids and starts testing out two bright orange kayaks. OMG was I pissed. “How damn dumb can a guy be?”
Anyway I was hunting with my wife and apparently she was just as pissed as me cause she fired a warning shot in the opposite direction. Scared the hell outta me.
I don’t think that clown had any idea anyone was hunting. They’re pointing at the decoys thinking they’re ducks.
Man they packed up so damn fast!!

There’s one particular wild trout stream in PA I used to drive 3 hrs too fairly often. I swear they put bathrooms near the little parking area and since then there’s all kinds of people there picnicking, loafing around etc.. The last time I went was quite a few years ago but this old battleaxe had a lawn chair setup on the stream dangling her cankles into the water while reading a book. I just gave her a disgusted look and starting waving my fly rod closer than most would dare. She also left pretty quick. It’s amazing what a sharp hook whizzing by someone’s eyeballs will make them do.

I’m pretty sure ours get locked up pretty tight with closed roads and signs to prevent that...

I know a piece that I would love to be on during November with archery tackle, but it’s off limits middle of October after duck season starts...

It seems silly to me that duck hunters and bow hunters couldn’t use the same place at the same time... but I guess there’s a reason for it :idunno
