What do you use the fur for? Making coats, caps, rugs?

I sell most of it to the Russians. Some scraps I use for tying flies.
Shave it or cut it with scissors and mix in a coffee grinder.

It’s slowed down quite a bit by the time I got there but We ended up with five on the stringer I caught two, my buddy caught three ( not counting all the ones he caught before I got there ) None of them very big.

I’d like to tell you I had to work hard for the two I caught but I missed another three at least ... so I wasn’t exactly doing my part... all my action was on scuds... lots of fresh water shrimp in that water.

I also ‘counted coup’ on a muskrat by tapping it on head with my rod tip as it swam by me as I was wading... I felt like he was asking for it, lol

I even hung that big fly in a tree branch. No worries though I yanked it out. Lol
First time I ever saw a muskrat I was with my dad maybe 30yrs ago catfishing. My dad plopped his ass in a lawn chair and me wandering around casting for whatever I could catch. This muskrat came swimming up onto the bank and walked right between the two of us. I thought it was an actual rat. I’m getting all excited, my dad just looks over and says it’s a muskrat he won’t hurt ya. Lol

I’m pretty sure he’s still alive. I still like his blooper videos. They’re pretty damn funny. I love the one where the guy backs the boat too deep in the water with Bill Dance in the boat.

His bloopers were awesome caught many a good fish but the bloopers is what I remember most.
