American Gamefowl

I've got a total of 28 traps set, put some lights up and cameras. I'm no trapping expert the yank gives me his opinion (sometimes more than what's called for), but he's helpful more times than not.

Dang you guys are pounding some steel into the summer ground!

I made a couple “sure thing sets” but the kits were tripping the 450s and robbing me... and I’ve apparently hid my 155 body grips from myself at the moment, so I hung up my trapper hat and put on my sniper hat...

That’s the thing about a big mulberry tree it draws them in, but you can walk out there and catch em in the act up top and knock em out dead without much effort.

Yeah but when I’m out there checking set 100 yds into the woods and I hear something behind me and it’s 5 quail sized chickens that’s what it takes to keep em alive. Can’t believe they wander that far into the woods.
I really do dislike trapping in summer although it’s a little easier to pound stakes and I rarely have to deal with frozen down traps. ;)
I hate killing foxes outside of fur season but I do it anyway once they get bold enough to come after the chickens.

My everyday knife is ESEE zancudo folder I really like it I've carried it since I bought it. I've skinned with it and really just everyday uses too I'd suggest it since it's a relatively cheap knife 30-40bucks and it's lasted. The only issue I've had with it early on was the pocket clip came loose, but it uses Allen head screws instead of rivets so I just put some blue loctite on them and tightened them back up haven't had a problem since.

Those Mora's are a heck of a knife for the money I love mine. If I was you I'd get a fix blade and a decent pocket knife too.

I’ve got one of theirs, it’s a chisel blade, so not your usual fixed blade, but I carry it in my trap bag... I’ve used it here and there and it seems pretty good.

I did use it to open up a dead bull I trapped over the year before last and it seemed to dull more than expected for just cutting through hide and meat...

I just cut a bid X in the shoulder and hindquarter to get the crows to start working it ... so the coyotes would find and work it faster... it was plenty sharp, but it seemed like the tough hair took more out of that blade than it should have... I paid less than $12 for it so I can’t complain I guess :idunno

I like mine it's a companion I believe and ive skinned two deer with it amongst other odds an ends and it's still like it was.

I also like my opinel for a cheapo, I have a few case knives and a fixed blade I haven't used just yet. I have others too but the esee, mora, case an opinel are my favorites I'm no knife guru the yank has quite a collection.
