This is what I carry, a Buck 703... they don’t make this exact one anymore, but it goes well with all my footwear

I have a lots of knives but somehow don’t consider myself a knife guy

This is my favorite, made by a local knife maker and given to me by my old man a long time ago.

It’ll hold an edge like you wouldn’t believe, but it’s damned hard to put one back on it.

There are better knives out there for sure, in fact I own a couple that are better blades, but this one gets the honor of field dressing my wife’s deer each year... or mine every 5 years or so when I find one I want to give an arrow to...

For the rest of the job I have a utility set of Forshners... we process our own meat so it’s handy to have a good set, but really I could get by with just two of the ones in this set

There is a nice Gerber fillet knife in that set too, not sure if they still make that one, but I’d recommend it to anyone.

I carry a folding razor knife daily due to work, but on the weekends I have a case toothpick and a fixed blade
