They weren’t hungry. Just thirsty. The ducks came charging up to them and they just turned and looked at the ducks who did an about face and ran the other way. Black vultures are way more bold but other than a really little baby chick I think everything is pretty safe. *pics ain’t the best. I was in the house.

Fascinating! Pretty brave ducks to get that close. Mine won't even keep the starlings away. they just back off and let them eat their food.

Oh it was probably deleted. I’m sure you can get creative with a few key words and do a search.
I have the ducks because I absolutely love cleaning water bowls all day long.
Nah they aren’t mine.
There’s some feathers that are good for tying flies but mainly it’s off of wild ducks. Wood duck lemon flank, teal, pintail and mallard flank. Most of the mallard flank is dyed for tying though. The small feathers around the ducks butt and preening gland are used a lot though and can be pulled off any duck. I only take them off ducks I kill hunting.
Cul de canard feathers is the name of them. CDC feathers are used a lot to keep small trout flies floating. The little barbules of the feather along with the oils help trap air bubbles allowing the fly to float.
