This hen just showed up with 10-11 chicks. I never could find her nest in the woods.

It’s not by chance she didn’t get killed on the nest.

Even if I was gonna cross those “freshly rescued pretend roosters” I wouldn’t post them here. Lol
Nah she’s the same hen I had sitting on eggs in the crate in my shed. The one I offered for sale with a guaranteed 25% hatch rate.
She only hatched 2-8 eggs then So she obviously didn’t need any help.

Instigator about scalped one then started on another an went down the line till he meet a fresh stag that wasn't having it.
Momma has been in 3 fights in 3 days an is pretty tore up so she got penned. The funs starting.

Pens flipping, stakes snapping and birds at large. Exciting day! Had to hold one upside down. Rounding up birds in heavy rain and winds is always fun!
