I’m definitely willing to learn how to trap predators to protect my poultry.
If you keep birds penned it’s more important to keep the coop/pen predator proof. Other than an annoying animal harassing them from outside the wire it’s no issue. Free ranging birds is where you need to learn to catch animals. It’s a lot of work and probably not worth it to most. It’s a lot of killing.

Nothing better to me than game cocks crowing mine start anywhere from 4:30-5am all day long. People are to pacified these days and always have to have something to complain about and in another mans business when they have plenty they need to fix themselves.

My place is cool I only have 7 roosters culled a few but that's part of it, but you should hear Havoc's place when they get to going.
It can get a little loud but they don’t bother me at all. People ask me all the time. I tell them the same damn thing. If a rooster is waking you up then you need more physical activity. Plain and simple.

I have a 6.5 yr old outstanding hatchery quality EE with your name all over her. $500
Oh boy that sounds like a real bargain! :gig
It’s hard to keep birds healthy in small pens. It’s a lot of rotating and taking them out, moving around, etc..
She wouldn’t be penned full time I would let her out to forage daily.

I’m not too fond of full free range for my chickens.
