Is this the litter bugger who kept taking up residence in your other traps?
I’m not sure I’ve caught about 20 of them recently. They all look the same to me. He ain’t coming back no doggone more though.
I’ve got 71 loose birds and haven’t lost a single one.
How’s that for cursing myself. :gig

Do you count them every night to be sure?
I'm down to 19 calls. . and that still seems like a lot.. I probably wouldn't notice for a couple days if one went missing if I had 71. Especially if they were free ranging. :idunno

Yes. When I feed them. I don’t use feeders. They all stay in little groups so it’s easier than you think. They all come running when they see me with the bucket.

We're a bit on the crazy side I probably count mine at least 10 times a day and make darn sure I have my 31 biddies before roost and early mornings. I only have 6 hens ranging though.

I was hoping for 50+ this season but doesn't always go as planned I do have 4 black eggs and two black/DMM so far I'll probably set what I've got Sunday under one of these broodies and hope for the best.
