A veterinary friend of mine, who has a lot of birds, had a hawk problem one summer. He watched/broke up many attempts on his free range birds. He was surprised at how many birds would die when they looked like they barely had a scratch on them, so he started dissecting them to find it was generally very deep puncture wounds without much surface damage.

Funny what sounds can wake us from a dead sleep! For me, it is the sound of our dog getting sick. lol. She is a big girl, but fortunately she learned the tile floor is the best place. Thank goodness!
