You’re not getting any worse at picture taking but your breeding sure sucks pretty bad.

ya no kidding. To be honest I dropped the ball on everything games this year. I have just a handful of chicks and only a few pure breeds over 4 months.

I have a lot of cross breed of jersery giant over game hens. Ill keep the hens in my big layer coop. But getting rid of all the roosters.

You know what it’s actually not the easiest thing to do. Even banding birds so there’s no mistakes. I have quite a few game hens that look the exact same and no one could tell the difference if I didn’t mark them. I have to mark 5 of the grey cross’s pullets. They’re green legged wild type and look just like some leiper/black pullets just smaller.

yah I need to get back on track with breeding and improving the games...
I made a new brooder area in the back of my house to better keep chicks (I had them in the house in the laundry room before and it was too messy and stinky).. . Ill try to get a picture of that soon.

Chaos in the chicken yard today. I thought I had more time, but a 5 month old stag thought he was ready to be boss and take on 2 year old. I think, I found him in time, but after I scooped him up, the other stags started circling the cock bird, so I ended up penning the rest of them. What is wrong with these chickens?

lol. The irony is that I sent my friend a picture of the stag out on the yard and he called back and said I needed to pen him right away. He was right, but I will make sure the stag is okay before I tell him...
